Host country, the Dominican Republic\u2019s U17 women\u2019s team did not pass to the second round in the FIFA U17 Women\u2019s World Cup taking place at stadiums in Santo Domingo and Santiago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dominican team had lost to Ecuador, tied with New Zealand and lost to Nigeria. It was the Dominican Republic\u2019s first women\u2019s participation in a World Cup. The DR came in third place in Pool A that ended with Nigeria, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and New Zealand. Nigeria and Ecuador moved to the second phase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
