The National Weather Institute (Indomet) reports that a pre-frontal trough positioned over the country, combined with a tropical wave moving south of the Dominican Republic, is generating cloud formations that will produce light to moderate rainfall, with occasional thunderstorms, in coastal and northeastern areas from early morning. Provinces such as La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, the National District, San Crist\u00f3bal, Barahona, Hato Mayor, and Duarte are expected to experience these weather conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the day progresses, these showers will extend inland, bringing moderate to heavy downpours, accompanied by lightning and strong winds, to the northern, northwestern, and border regions. Provinces like La Vega, Santiago, Valverde, Santiago Rodr\u00edguez, Monte Cristi, Dajab\u00f3n, and El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a are particularly likely to be affected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Friday, 25 October 2024, the frontal system will be positioned north of the country, maintaining moisture and instability and resulting in light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in areas including Hato Mayor, Saman\u00e1, Monte Plata, Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez, Duarte, S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez, La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata, and others. This activity will begin in the morning and intensify in the afternoon, lasting until early evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
