These adverse weather conditions are expected to persist throughout the day and into the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Areas already experiencing heavy rainfall include La Altagracia, La Romana, Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, and the National District. However, the heaviest precipitation is forecast to occur in the afternoon and early evening, affecting provinces such as Pedernales, Barahona, Bahoruco, El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a, San Juan de la Maguana, Azua, Peravia, San Crist\u00f3bal, San Pedro de Macor\u00eds, Saman\u00e1, Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez, Duarte, and Puerto Plata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The combination of a tropical wave lingering over Haiti and a cold front moving into the region has led to increased moisture and instability in the atmosphere. These conditions are conducive to the development of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temperatures will remain cool and pleasant, especially in mountainous areas and their valleys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, a cold front is expected to approach the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, further enhancing the instability and leading to more widespread rainfall, particularly in the northern region, the Central Cordillera, and the border zone.
