The colonial building dates back to 1503 and is regarded as the first stone and two-story house in the New World. It now houses the permanent exhibition of approximately 350 pre-Hispanic archeological pieces donated by the Garc\u00eda Ar\u00e9valo Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Banco Cultural renovated the Casa del Cord\u00f3n into the Taino Cultural Center on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ta\u00edno Cultural Center at the Casa del Cord\u00f3n is open to the general public from 9:30am to 6:30pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free until 31 January 2025.
