The Presidency announced the official visit of President Luis Abinader to Qatar. Abinader travels on Thursday, 5 December. He is accepting an invitation from the Emir of Qatar to participate in the prestigious Doha Forum. This is the first visit of a sitting Dominican President to Qatar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his stay, President Abinader is scheduled to meet with Qatar\u2019s Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, and the country\u2019s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The President\u2019s agenda also includes discussions with high-ranking officials from various sectors, including energy, transportation, security, health, tourism, and investments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The official delegation accompanying President Abinader will include Minister of Hacienda Jos\u00e9 Manuel Vicente, Minister of Energy and Mines Joel Santos, Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs and Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Relations Hugo Rivera, and the Executive Director of ProDominicana (Dominican Republic\u2019s Export and Investment Center) Biviana Riveiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other members of the delegation include Secretary General of the Presidential Cabinet Eilyn Beltr\u00e1n, the President\u2019s Personal Assistant Mercedes Pichardo, press director Daniel Garc\u00eda Archibald, and the Dominican Ambassador to Qatar Georges Bahsa Hazim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qatar, one of the world\u2019s leading economies, holds the third-largest natural gas global reserves. The country is also known for its significant investment and cooperation capacity in sectors such as energy, tourism, security, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
