The resolution marks the day when the bachata music and dance was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in a ceremony held in Bogot\u00e1, Colombia on 11 December 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resolution No. 28-2024 aims to celebrate the National Day for the Promotion and Dissemination of Bachata Music and to underscore the genre&#8217;s significance to Dominican cultural identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resolution states that promoting bachata music and dance is crucial to preserving and fostering the genre, ensuring its cultural legacy for generations to come.
