Raphael de Espa\u00f1a is booked for two performances at the National Theater in Santo Domingo on 11 and 12 March 2025. On Monday, 16 December 2024. it was known that he suffered a stroke when taping an episode for TVE\u2019s popular program, \u201cLa Revuelta\u201d He was rushed to a Madrid hospital and now is recovering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emergency services confirmed that the 81-year-old singer was transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition. Just a day earlier, Raphael had appeared on another popular Spanish TV show, “El Hormiguero.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the health scare, the legendary singer is still scheduled to perform two concerts at Madrid\u2019s Wizink Center this weekend as part of his “Tour Victoria 2024.” It remains unclear if these performances will go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raphael, known for his powerful vocals and enduring popularity, has been a mainstay in the Spanish music industry for over six decades. His music has resonated with audiences across generations, and he has sold millions of records worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The news of Raphael\u2019s hospitalization comes as a surprise to fans who have celebrated the singer\u2019s recent successes. In addition to his upcoming tour, Raphael had just released a new album, “Ayer\u2026 a\u00fan,” a compilation of classic French songs. He had also been honored with an honorary doctorate from the University of Ja\u00e9n, his hometown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A stroke is also known as a brain attack or cerebrovascular accident (CVA) and occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted, causing brain cells to die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
