This ambitious undertaking aims to revitalize a 1.7-kilometer western stretch of the Malecon (Av. George Washington Avenue), extending from Av. N\u00fa\u00f1ez de C\u00e1ceres to Calle Gaviota in the Miramar neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, estimated to cost RD$350 million, is slated for completion within a year. It will feature a wide range of improvements, including enhanced public lighting, new sidewalks and bike lanes, and various recreational facilities such as basketball and volleyball courts. A dog park, children\u2019s playground, and expanded parking areas will also be added to cater to the needs of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mayor Carolina Mej\u00eda had announced the project in February 2024 as an extension of the Paseo del Malec\u00f3n project completed in December 2023.
