During an interview with Nuria Investigaci\u00f3n’s Laura de la Nuez Juanel Hernandez explained that he never dreamed of being a model. He said since a young boy he had trained to be a professional ball player, but an ankle injury kept him from signing with a Major League Baseball team. He is the son of two evangelical pastors in Consuelo in southeastern San Pedro de Macoris. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because of his height, gray eyes and good looks, a family friend suggested that he look into modeling. He contacted Sandro Guzman and the rest is history, or as Juanel Hernandez would say\u2026 \u201cGod\u2019s will.\u201d Guzman is the country’s leading local model talent scout who promptly connected him with the global modeling world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the boy who had never modeled, his first fashion walk was in Milan for Giorgio Armani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hernandez so far has modeled for Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani and just recently for Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
