Students from the Loyola Polytechnical Institute in San Crist\u00f3bal, Dominican Republic, have embarked on the first phase of a unique training program in collaboration with the prestigious Spallanzani Institute (IIS-spallanzani) in Castelfranco, Italy. The initiative, known as the “Wine and Vineyard” project is designed to integrate the school, campus, and business sectors of the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students from the Loyola traveled to Italy, focusing on agriculture, tourism, and particularly enogastronomy (the study of food and wine).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Thanks to the efforts of our commercial section of our diplomatic mission in Rome, together with the counselor and commercial representative, Cooperation and Tourism of the Dominican Embassy in Italy, Elna Arelis Perdomo, this agreement has been successfully executed after many months of preparation,” stated a press release from the Dominican Embassy in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first group of Dominican students and professors from Loyola are already benefiting from the training at the Spallanzani Institute. They will undergo an educational and training development process that will result in better professionals, delivering to the country well-prepared young people who open doors to others seeking a better future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
