The information was published by the Statistics Department at the DR&#8217;s Attorney General&#8217;s Office. Of the deaths 373 were directly related to crime, with a rate of 9.4%. Drug-related deaths totaled 140, and robberies related to 184 deaths.  <\/p>\n<p> A total of 150 people were killed in shootouts with police while 589 persons died in non-crime related acts.
