There are seven medical doctors among the fatal victims of the JetSet Club tragedy that so far has claimed 226 persons. The doctors and their family were enjoying the concert by Rubby Perez when the roof collapsed on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CDN reports that the doctors practiced various medical specialties and testimonies all speak of their dedication to public health. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the victims are:
\u2022 Dr. Jos\u00e9 Maldonado, a cardiologist at the National Police Hospital
\u2022 Dr. Joselyn Rosado, an anesthesiologist at Marcelino V\u00e9lez Santana Hospital
\u2022 Dr. Bibiana Garc\u00eda, a general practitioner at Juan Pablo Pina Hospital in San Crist\u00f3bal
\u2022 Dr. Yadira Cueto, a urologist at Ciudad Juan Bosch and Reynaldo Alm\u00e1nzar Hospitals
\u2022 Dr. Lorraine Fern\u00e1ndez Vargas, an internist at Dr. Antonio Musa Hospital
\u2022 Dr. Melissa Tejada Sosa, a general practitioner at the Sanitas medical center
\u2022 Dr. Mariona Ruiz, a general practitioner whose place of employment was not specified<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dominican Medical Association (CMD) expressed its profound sorrow over the loss. \u201cWe offer our heartfelt condolences to the families of the doctors and all the victims of this tragic incident,\u201d the CMD said in a statement. \u201cThe scenes of pain, anguish, and desperation left in the wake of this indescribable catastrophe have deeply shaken our nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Public Health confirmed that the process of identifying and returning the victims’ remains was completed by early Saturday morning, 12 April 2025. Of the 226 confirmed fatalities, 221 people died at the scene, while five others succumbed to their injuries in hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the collapse, as the country mourns one of the worst mass casualty events in recent history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
