Yet, the scenic waterfront is continuously impacted by litter left behind by the nighttime visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As things stand, while intended as a gathering place for outdoor activities and a catalyst for urban renewal, the Malec\u00f3n now grapples with this serious problem of accumulated trash, primarily due to carelessness from those enjoying the nightlife, especially on weekends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>German reports that the absence of clear guidelines for Malec\u00f3n users has led to the formation of small garbage piles just meters from the pristine Caribbean Sea. These detract from the scenic beauty and also pose a direct threat to the marine ecosystem. Wind and rain can easily carry the debris into the ocean, causing significant environmental harm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He calls for urgent action and effective measures to prevent litter accumulation and preserve the Malec\u00f3n as a clean and enjoyable public space.
