The shutdown will affect the line between Mam\u00e1 Ting\u00f3 (Villa Mella) and Hermanas Mirabal (Parque Mirador Norte) stations in Santo Domingo North, as crews carry out system modernization work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Opret explains that from Wednesday, 16 July to Friday, 18 July, service will be suspended between the Francisco Pe\u00f1a G\u00f3mez (Los Guaricanos) and Mam\u00e1 Ting\u00f3 stations, in Villa Mella. Meanwhile, on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th, the suspension will affect the stretch between the Hermanas Mirabal station (near Mirador Norte Park) and Mam\u00e1 Ting\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The upgrade will involve the installation and certification of a new signaling and traffic light system by a German firm specializing in transit technologies.
