It\u2019s commonly served with a savory broth or alongside meat, seafood, or vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the people of Santiago have set a new culinary record. The impressive 560-kilogram result far exceeded the 200-kilogram minimum set by Guinness for this category, solidifying the Dominican Republic&#8217;s place in culinary history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mofongo is a celebration of Dominicans&#8217; African and Spanish roots.
