Customs Agency director, Eduardo Sanz Lovaton explained the facility is the result of a successful public-private partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The terminal, which was built with no cost to the Dominican government, will increase the airport&#8217;s package processing capacity by 186%, allowing it to handle over 4 million additional packages annually. Spanning more than 4,800 square meters, the facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including advanced X-ray equipment to expedite inspections and bolster national security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Sanz Lovat\u00f3n, the new terminal will help the country become a &#8220;world-class logistics hub.&#8221; It is designed to operate 24\/7, offering faster dispatch, improved security, and enhanced tracking for packages.
