President Luis Abinader and Vice President Raquel Pe\u00f1a welcomed Miss Universe 2024 (Miss Denmark), Mar\u00eda Victoria Kj\u00e6r, and Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2025, Jennifer Ventura, during a courtesy visit at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday afternoon, 18 August 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beauty queens were received in the private hall of the Presidential Palace at 3pm, where they took part in a warm and elegant gathering marked by national pride and international distinction, the Presidency reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Abinader and Vice President Pe\u00f1a praised the global recognition and talent both women represent. They highlighted the importance of the Dominican contest in promoting the Dominican Republic and fostering cultural connections abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also in attendance was Magali Febles, director of the Miss Universe Dominican Republic franchise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reigning Miss Universe 2024, Mar\u00eda Victoria Kj\u00e6r Theilvig, is a Danish model, entrepreneur and professional dancer. Born in S\u00f8borg, southeast of Copenhagen, she made history by becoming the first Danish woman to win the Miss Universe crown. She is also currently pursuing a law degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jennifer Ventura, recently crowned Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2025, will represent the country in the upcoming Miss Universe competition. She competed as Miss Barahona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
