Dominican track star Marileidy Paulino went 47.98 to win the silver medal in the World Athletics Championships 400m in the final on 18 September 2025. USA’s Sydney MacLaughlin-Levrone with her time of 47.78 came close to breaking the 47.60 East German record that has held since 1983. Salwa Eid Naser clocked in at 48.19 for third place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was a personal best for Paulino, the Olympic gold medal and record holder. Paulino was the defending champion in the race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
