The United States defeated Mexico to win the Norceca Women\u2019s Final Six that took place in Guadalajara, Mexico. The US team would book its ticket to the gold medal match of the 2025 Norceca Women\u2019s Final Six after defeating the defending champion Dominican Republic 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 25-18, 25-22) in the semifinals at Unidad Deportiva L\u00f3pez Mateos in Guadalajara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks the fourth consecutive appearance for Team USA in the gold medal match, having earned silver in 2022, gold in 2023, and silver again in 2024, playing against the Dominican team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Dominican Republic, this became the team DR’s first time competing for bronze since the event\u2019s inception. The three-time champions had always contested the gold medal match until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two teams had already met in the preliminary round, where USA also prevailed in four sets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statistically, the Americans held a narrow edge in blocks (11-10) and service points (4-3). The Dominican Republic outscored the USA in attacks (54-48) but committed more unforced errors (28-18), which proved costly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DR team would finish in third place behind the US and Mexico that won silver. The DR lost its first game against Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals, but would win the game in the semifinals 3-2 (25-22, 20-25, 19-25, 25-23, 15-13).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
