The entity replaces Dekolor, the company that has managed the citizen data system for driver\u2019s licenses for the past 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Milton Morrison, Intrant\u2019s director, said in a press release the move is projected to generate approximately RD$1 billion in economic benefits for the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new agreement immediately terminates all legal ties with Dekolor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Morrison emphasized that the key change is the direct control the Dominican government will now have over citizen information, a shift he guarantees will ensure greater security and transparency in the licensing process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This development follows a tumultuous period.
