United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi participated in the First World Governments Summit \u2013 Latin America and Caribbean Dialogue hosted by President Luis Abinader in Punta Cana on 2nd and 3rd October 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government of the UAE highlighted how she held several bilateral meetings with senior officials from the Dominican Republic on the sidelines of the first WGS-LAC Dialogue to discuss opportunities to strengthen UAE-Dominican Republic bilateral relations and explore economic and investment opportunities between the two nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the high-level meeting, President Abinader and Foreign Minister Al Kaabi witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the World Governments Summit and the Centro de An\u00e1lisis para Pol\u00edticas P\u00fablicas. The agreement serves as a testament to the growing relationship between the UAE and the Dominican Republic, while extending cooperation to the broader Latin America and Caribbean region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UAE press release also mentions the meeting of Industry and Commerce Minister Victor Bison\u00f3 with the Foreign Minister and the talks for expanding cooperation in strategic economic sectors. The ministers also exploring educational initiatives and cultural exchange programs to equip professionals with the expertise needed in fast-growing industries and to strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UAE press release highlights that Al Kaabi\u2019s participation at the inaugural WGS-LAC Dialogue underscores the UAE\u2019s commitment to fostering deep and meaningful partnerships across the Caribbean and Latin America region through enhanced cooperation in key economic sectors, and education and cultural exchange initiatives that advance mutual prosperity and understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WGS-LAC Dialogue brought together Latin American and Caribbean leaders across government, business, technology, philanthropy and thought leadership with counterparts from the MENA region to forge enduring ties, explore shared priorities, and unlock bold new possibilities for collaboration across the two regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 30 September 2025, the World Governments Summit Organisation had signed a strategic Partnership Agreement with the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), marking a new milestone in strengthening global collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York and aims to expand the presence of Latin American and Caribbean nations on the Summit platform and showcase its governmental experiences and best practices globally. The partnership aims to foster joint initiatives and develop future-focused opportunities that enhance international dialogue and cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Partnership Agreement was signed by Mohamed Yousef Al Sharhan, Managing Director of the World Governments Summit, and Ambassador Noem\u00ed Espinoza Madrid, Secretary-General of the Association of Caribbean States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
