The event is in its second year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2025 China Trade Expo will feature over 2,000 square meters of exhibition space and include 37 leading Chinese companies, showcasing innovations in green energy, smart manufacturing, and cutting-edge technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Top global brands such as Gree, LONGi, Hytera, and Midea will participate, along with specialized firms like Hubei Jinlong New Materials Co., Ltd., Sinomach CMEC New Energy Development Co., Ltd., and Quzhou Rongqiang Chemical Co., Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors can expect to see a wide range of products in sectors such as:<br>Renewable energy<br>Industrial and agricultural machinery<br>Automobiles and accessories<br>Medical supplies<br>Consumer goods<br>Home appliances and security technology<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the exhibition, the event will host a series of key forums and networking opportunities, including:<br>October 10: Opening Ceremony and China\u2013Dominican Republic Trade &amp; Investment Forum<br>October 11: Special Forum on \u201cHow to Export to China\u201d<br>October 13: China\u2013Dominican Republic International Supply Chain Cooperation Conference<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizers say the expo is expected to boost China\u2019s commercial presence across Latin America and provide Dominican and regional<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Dai Gaosheng, Deputy Representative of the CCPIT Office in Costa Rica, the expo aims to deepen bilateral business ties, enhance cooperation, and expand high-quality economic exchanges between Chinese and Dominican companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Biviana Riveiro Disla, executive director of ProDominicana, highlighted the steady progress in China\u2013Dominican Republic relations since diplomatic ties were established in 2018. \u201cOur two nations have strengthened mutual political trust, increased economic cooperation, and fostered vibrant cultural exchange,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roberto Santana S\u00e1nchez, founding president of the Dominican-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, emphasized the expo\u2019s regional significance. \u201cThis important trade fair will further drive economic relations not just between China and the Dominican Republic, but across Central America and the Caribbean,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Zhao Wenru, second secretary at the Chinese Embassy in the Dominican Republic, described the event as \u201ca new platform for open cooperation\u201d and stressed China&#8217;s commitment to closer integration with the Dominican business community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith Chinese companies acting as dynamic drivers of the global supply chain, there is strong interest in fostering deeper collaboration that benefits both peoples,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trading Economics lists Chinese imports as second to the United States. The Dominican Republic imported US$6 billion from China and exported US$367.62 million. This compares to US$7.62 billion the DR exported to the United States in 2024 and US$12.89 billion it imported in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China views the Dominican Republic as a key strategic ally for China in the region.
