Fernando Tatis Jr. has been named the best defensive right fielder in Major League Baseball National League. The announcement tells of the versatility of Tatis who in 2023 had played shortstop instead of in the outfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tatis Jr. won his second National League Gold Glove award for the 2025 MLB season, joining Tony Gwynn, Dave Winfield, Steve Finley, and Trent Grisham as the only Padres outfielders to take home multiple awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tatis led all NL right fielders last season with +15 DRS, and his +8 OAA trailed only the +9 produced by Arizona\u2019s Corbin Carroll. Known for his cannon of an arm even from his days at short, Tatis was tied for fifth with an average arm strength of 95.5 mph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
