The catamaran took water and the boat capsized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The media reported on how the rescue services were prompt and those on that excursion were soon back on board to tell the story about the Samana excursion they will never forget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the tourists were in lifejackets as they waited in the Samana waters to be rescued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Samana, the cruise ship traveled to the port of La Romana for more excursions. The Mein Schiff 1 has a maximum passenger capacity of 2,894, based on its 1,447 cabins.
