The lack of adequate maintenance became apparent recently when a nationwide blackout left the Metro without services when its backup power systems failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diario Libre reports that the problems continue on certain lines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Metro is a lifeline for hundreds of thousands of city commuters.
