This initiative transforms the subway cars into a &#8220;Caribbean experience.&#8221; Population-wise, New York City is the second largest Dominican city anywhere. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decorations feature images including the country&#8217;s flag, traditional instruments such as the g\u00fcira and tambora, and landmarks such as the statue of Fray Anton de Montesinos.
