The different local manufacturers have asked the Commission for the Defense of Commerce (CDC) to look into the possibility of implementing a safeguard measure against imported cookies and crackers from countries with which the Dominican Republic does not have a free trade agreement. The AIRD executive, Mario Pujols, also noted that the process must follow the rules already laid out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local industry has filed the request to investigate the situation according to the parameters laid out in Law 1-02 that cover Illegal Practices in Commerce.
