This figure represents a substantial increase of US$1.02 billion, or 10.5%, compared to the same period in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Building on this strong performance, the BCRD projects total remittances to exceed US$11.7 billion by the close of 2025, a new record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In November alone, the country received US$889.5 million in remittances, an increase of US$48.7 million (5.8%) over November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These funds, supplied by the Dominican diaspora abroad, are critical to the national economy, having a &#8220;multiplier effect on consumption, investment, and the financing of the country&#8217;s most vulnerable sectors,&#8221; the BCRD stated in a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BCRD largely attributes the robust performance of remittances to the economic strength of the United States. The United States was the source of 80.7% of formal remittance flows in November, accounting for approximately US$669.8 million.
