This drop in temperature is part of a broader cooling trend affecting the central Cibao region and northwestern provinces due to a stationary cold front currently over the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Local meteorological reports confirm that the intense cold in Valle Nuevo resulted in frost formation, specifically in the Rancho en Medio area near the entrance to Alto Bandera in the Valle Nuevo National Park in La Vega province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other reports of low temperatures are for\u201d<br>\u2022 Santiago: 14\u00b0C<br>\u2022 Constanza and Jarabacoa: 13\u00b0C to 14\u00b0C<br>\u2022 Moca, La Vega, and Bonao: Lows between 13\u00b0C and 14\u00b0C<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) predicts that these pleasant, cool temperatures will persist for several days.
