Isla Catalina is an off island that services day excursions and cruise ship passengers. The new dock is a Dominican Port Authority investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean Luis Rodr\u00edguez, director of the Dominican Port Authority (Apordom), stated that with this one, 22 docks have been delivered under the current administration, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the inauguration, the government also announced a public-private partnership for the construction of the Isla Catalina Beach Club. Isla Catalina is a Protected Natural Monument.  The beach club would be built by Iberostar\u2019s World2Meet.
