The project, located at the intersection of Calle Jos\u00e9 Reyes and Calle El Conde, involves an investment of RD$950 million and is expected to be completed in approximately 22 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The start of construction marks the end of a long period of inactivity for the site. The original structure was shut down five years ago due to severe structural vulnerabilities and subsequently demolished. Despite initial promises of a swift rebuild, the site remained vacant, exacerbating the significant traffic and parking challenges faced by residents, merchants, and tourists headed to the Colonial City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Modern infrastructure and capacity<br>The new seven-story facility is designed as a sustainable, multi-use urban hub. Key technical specifications include space for 242 vehicles and motorcycle parking area, electric vehicle charging stations, sensor-based LED lighting, rainwater harvesting system. The facility will feature a high-tech security infrastructure including automated access control, 24-hour video surveillance, and advanced monitoring systems to optimize operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Financed through extraordinary state funds provided by the administration of President Luis Abinader, the project aims to do more than just house cars.
