The event aims to establish a premier regional platform by uniting theater, music, and dance through a high-level program featuring national artists and international guests from Colombia, Argentina, Equatorial Guinea, and France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festival\u2019s details were unveiled during a press conference led by festival director and veteran producer Fausto Rojas. Speaking at the Juan Lockward Theater Caf\u00e9 within the Eduardo Brito National Theater, Rojas described the initiative as a &#8220;transcendental step&#8221; for the global projection of the Dominican creative scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDominican Republic is becoming the cultural heart of the Caribbean, positioning the country as a benchmark destination for the performing arts,\u201d Rojas stated, emphasizing that the project is designed to bolster the &#8220;orange economy&#8221; and foster artistic exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Events will be staged at the Eduardo Brito National Theater, Palace of Fine Arts, Nuryn Sanlley Amphitheater (Parque Iberoamericano), Rock\u2019n Rolla (basement, Plaza Universitaria \u2013 PUCMM at Av. Winston Churchill and Av. Sarasota), Cristo Park in Cristo Rey and at the Centro Le\u00f3n in Santiago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International and academic programming<br>The inaugural edition features seven major shows, including four international productions. Highlights include:<br>\u2022 France: The Imperial Kikiristan company will present <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=51CiTyn8ZHs\">Jumelag<\/a>, a family-oriented show. In a move to democratize access to high culture, they will offer four free performances between 16 and 17 May across the Nuryn Sanlley Amphitheater, Cristo Park, and Centro Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Colombia&#8217;s Elemental Teatro will present their version of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ESgF8bwIw3k\">La Casa de Bernarda Alba<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 From Equatorial Guinea, Gorsy Edu will perform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Moj5EVfuekY\">El percusionista<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Education is a core pillar of the FESTAE mission.
