The Puerto Plata projects are a significant effort to reorganize one of the North Coast\u2019s most iconic tourism destinations. The plaza replaces informal structures with modern facilities designed to enhance the beach visitor experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new plaza for vendors was executed with an investment exceeding RD$600 million by the Executing Committee of Infrastructure in Tourist Zones (Ceiztur), a division of the Ministry of Tourism. The initiative also focused on environmental recovery and the installation of essential services, such as modern lighting and drainage systems.
