Mexico leads with 15% of immigrants, followed by China, the Philippines, India and the DR, each of which accounted for 4-6% of the new immigrants, according to Homeland Security statistics. <\/p>\n<p> Of the total, 37% come from Asia and 31% from North America. <\/p>\n<p> Most of the new immigrants settled in California (20%), New York (13%), Florida (11%), Texas (8%) and New Jersey (5%). <\/p>\n<p> Interestingly, most of the new immigrants are women (54.6%), 58% are married.
