Agents from the North Regional Division of the National Drug Control Department (DNCD) have dismantled a network of drug traffickers during operations carried out in the town of Jarabacoa. They arrested five men and seized a stash of 174 packages of cocaine weighing 195.345 kilograms (429 pounds) yesterday. They also seized two firearms, several bullets for weapons of several calibers, two SUVs, a motorcycle, RD$49,870 and US$20,000 in cash, as well as a range of property title documents. North Region spokesman, Abel Rojas, reported that members of the anti-narcotics agency carried out the first operation on Calle Principal in Nino de Jarabacoa.<\/p>\n
Once there, according to Diario Libre, the agents arrested Agustin Caraballo, Mario de Jesus Rodriguez Plasencia (a.k.a. “Mario Platinium”), Joan Miguel Paez Abreu and Daniel Valenzuela.
