The funds are a main component of the Democratic Security Plan submitted by the Ministry of Interior &#038; Police. Minister Franklin Almeyda said he would go to the Senate to protest if the funds were not included. In a past term, Almeyda made headlines for the purchase of dozens of Harley Davidson motorbikes for patrolling in neighborhoods with narrow streets.
