The Toros of La Romana will seek to keep Caribbean Series Championship trophy in the DR. The event takes place from 2-7 February in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
Last year’s trophy was won by the Leones del Escogido of Santo Domingo that represented the DR in the competition against the best winter baseball team in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.<\/p>\n
This is the Toros’ second Caribbean Series. They first competed in 1995, when the series took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Toros then placed second, with four wins and two losses.<\/p>\n
Twelve games will be played in round robin modality.<\/p>\n
