The Presidency Public Works Supervisory Office (OISOE) built the parking lot at a reported cost of RD$1 billion.<\/p>\n<p> The structure has capacity for 1,248 vehicles and covers an area of 27,797 square meters. It has seven levels, a basement and four elevators with capacity for 12 persons each. It also has steps and commercial areas.<\/p>\n<p> OISOE director Luis Sifres Nunez said that the UASD has a total parking demand for 2,687 spaces and the new parking garage caters for 46.45%.<\/p>\n<p> There has been some media criticism of the government&#8217;s priorities as reflected by this project.
