President Leonel Fernandez has sent an acquisition order for the purchase of equipment that will block cell phones in the nation’s three-dozen prisons and jails. It is contained in Decree 564-11, which was released by the Presidential Press Office last night. The President cited “National Security reasons” as part of the reasoning behind the acquisition of the equipment.
