Ortiz launched Boston’s comeback from a three-run deficit with a mighty homerun, and the Red Sox banged out 14 hits in an 8-6 victory Monday night. That evening, every Red Sox starter had at least one hit, including Lin, his first in the majors. <\/p>\n
Now the Red Sox have won nine of their last 11 games and, at 21-21, are at .500 for the first time since April 30, and are now tied for fourth place in the American League East, 5-1\/2 games behind Baltimore.<\/p>\n
