Yesterday, Tuesday 5 February, the DR defeated the Mexican team, Yaquis de Obregon, 11-6. The Dominican team batted for seven runs in the eighth inning, when the pitching of the Mexican team seemed at its weakest. 38-year old Miguel Tejada batted a homerun, to keep his record in a Caribbean Series at 14 and 52 RBIs during his career. Tejada first played in a Caribbean Series in 1997 in Hermosillo, Mexico, as reported in Hoy. The Dominican Republic goes against Venezuela today, Wednesday 6 February and Mexico against Puerto Rico.
