A Canadian named as Brunet Luck, who lives in the Ginebra Arzeno residential complex in Puerto Plata, has been arrested on suspicion of pickpocketing at the city’s La Sirena store. As reported in Puerto Plata Digital, he was being monitored by the store on suspicion of several previous robberies and for eating in the cafeteria without paying. A Puerto Plata Police report says that Luck was caught by surveillance cameras when he pickpocketed Ricardo Armando Roque Ortiz’s wallet. The wallet contained Roque’s personal documents and RD$10,000 in cash. Luck was arrested when he tried to dispose of the wallet in the store’s bathroom. He will be prosecuted for the crimes. <\/p>\n
