The Dominican government will welcome around 1,000 representatives of the 52 Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) member states when the country hosts the XII Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean from 14-18 October this year, on the theme of “Gender Equality, Women’s Empowerment and Information and Communication Technology”. <\/p>\n
Minister for Women Alejandrina German made the announcement during a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Santo Domingo yesterday, Wednesday 10 April, together with Jimena Arias Feijoo, representing ECLAC’s Gender Division. <\/p>\n
Deputy Foreign Relations minister Alejandra Liriano and Presidency press director and government spokesman Roberto Rodriguez Marchena were also present. <\/p>\n
