The National Police has announced the arrest of three men who are accused of check fraud. They include Victor Rafael Pena Soto (alias Saoco), a resident of Santo Domingo’s Espaillat neighborhood, who is described by the Police as one of the main check forgers in the capital city. The others arrested in the operation were Alexis Vargas and Jose Manuel Martes, who were also in possession of forged checks at the time of the arrest.
