{"id":36844,"date":"2013-07-29T01:43:56","date_gmt":"2013-07-29T01:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dr1.com\/new\/pages\/crime-continues-to-decrease-says-new-police-chief\/"},"modified":"2013-07-29T01:43:56","modified_gmt":"2013-07-29T01:43:56","slug":"crime-continues-to-decrease-says-new-police-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2013\/07\/29\/crime-continues-to-decrease-says-new-police-chief\/","title":{"rendered":"Crime continues to decrease, says new police chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> The head of the police, Major General Manual Castro Castillo, announced on Sunday, 28 July that crime has decreased by more than 40% since the beginning of the Citizen Security Plan and the militarization of the streets.<\/p>\n<p> Castro Castillo also said that he had been able to confirm that more than 60% of the violent crimes is due to social conflict, crimes of passion and confrontations with other people, causing injury, violent deaths and other series of events.<\/p>\n<p> He said that as part of the strategy to decrease crime, on Saturday, 27 July, he had met with all of the generals from the National Police who worked across the country, and he gave them precise instructions on using the analysis and intelligence database.
