During the visit the baseball star expressed his optimism over a favorable outcome in the case open with the MLB. Rodriguez’s parents are from San Juan de la Maguana, like President Medina. During his visit he gave the President a baseball shirt with the number 13. “I am happy to be on vacation here in my country and I came to meet with our President. I appreciate his having received me. I am proud to come to my country and to spend time with my people,” said the Yankees third base player.
