To win the tournament, the DR defeated the University of Stanford (California) team 25-16, 19-25, 25-20 and 25-15 before 7,000 fans at the US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee. For more on the team standings see http:\/\/www.usavolleyball.org\/adult\/first_half_standings.htm  Coach Jorge Perez Ventos says the Dominican team is among the top 10 in the world. His goal is to lead the team to a world championship or to the Olympics.
