"Artistas por el Gagá," an organization that describes itself as "a collective of alternative and Dominican contemporary artists, has organized a day with Afro-contemporary music and art. The group promotes the event as a way to welcome the spring with a Haitian-Dominican solidarity and brotherhood event through music and dance to the tune and beat of drums.
