Nine persons were injured yesterday in a ten-car collision along the Duarte Highway, in Burende, that is between La Vega and Santiago cities. The accident occurred when the driver of a large truck did not yield instructions by a patrol cop to stop. Instead he continued on, not noticing a long line of cars parked ahead of him. The cars had been stopped to allow a tow truck to move a mechanically damaged pick up. The truck that collided into the vehicles is property of a local ice-producing company.
