Nassim Alemany, president of the Association of Industries of the Dominican Republic (AIRD), said that the new building that will house several of the leading business organizations in the DR will be operational in December of this year. The project is an initiative of AIRD and is carried out together with Promotora García Armenteros. The 14-floor building is going up on Sarasota at a cost of RD$180 million. The tower, to be known as Torre Empresarial, is going up on a lot of 7,506 meters and will have a parking area with capacity for 400 vehicles. Construction began in 1998. Business organizations that will be relocating there are: the Cámara Americana de Comercio, Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (Conep), Confederación Patronal de la República Dominicana, Asociación de Fabricantes de Bebidas Gaseosas, Asociación de Fabricantes de Cerveza, Asociación de Fabricantes de Embutidos, la Asociación Dominicana de Zonas Francas, la Asociación de Empresas de Inversión Extranjera (Asiex) among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
